So I know it’s a bit early, but I have already finished decorating my room for Valentine’s Day!
…seven days ago.
Yes, it’s only mid-January. Yes, the actual holiday isn’t for about a month. BUT I LOVE VALENTINE’S DAY! I guess it’s not the holiday itself that excites me; it’s the cute-sy pink-and-red decor that I get to decorate my room with. After I’m sone packing away my holiday decor, my room just seems too…plain. So I BREAK OUT the Valentine’s Day decor and make my room super fun, girly, and cute!
Most of the decor I used this year were either already made, or self-explanatory. So instead of giving you guys a step-by-step guide for each of these DIYs (or not!), I’m going to show you some pictures instead! Hopefully, you guys will grab some information for your own rooms!
I started by making my signature ornament-glass jars, which you all have seen before! I switched out my holiday colors for pinks, purples, reds, gold, and silver – and they look great! I would also suggest adding some cute twinkle lights to make them a bit more fun (you can find pink or red ones from Target!) Then, I put a cute XO sign from Target in front to add a little extra to this area of my room.
Next, I worked on garlands. I had purchased three Valentine’s Day garlands to hang up over my bed, and they look great together! Layering garlands is definitely a pro tip, it helps add so much to the room overall!
I threw on a cute yarn DIY I had made a couple years ago onto my lamp, and although it is a bit time-consuming, it adds more of a unique touch to the room. Since most of the other decor items were not DIY, this one addition really can be personalized. It is essentially made by hot-gluing yarn to a foam ring. You can even place a bow on top! (Inspired by Bethany Mota, by the way.)
Lastly, I added a cute mini heart pillow from Target (again, OMG!) onto my bed with the rest of my throw pillows. Even though it’s not too noticeable, I think it adds just the right amount of Valentine’s Day whimsy to your bed. This is not shown (because I haven’t done it yet – oops?), but I also have a cute Valentine’s Day throw blanket from – guess where? – TARGET!
Alright guys, that’s all for this post! Be sure to comment, and share with your friends!
And OMG can we talk about how I’ve been posting…CONSISTENTLY?!
I’ll see you all soon with a BRAND NEW post!
